For starters, not nearly enough mussels or clams. When you order steamers, you should be served a plate of steamers, not a plate of filler. i think there were 3 clams total, maybe 5 mussels. The flavor wasn't bad, but nothing special and here's why. Far too much garlic! Now I love garlic, probably more than most people, way more. And I could have eaten the dish with 10 times more garlic in it. But that's not the point here is it? These are supposed to be exercises in the culinary art. Too much garlic is an amateur move, and that's putting it nicely. AND the sauce was too creamy. No need for cream here, not if you hope to enjoy the flavor of the "steamers". Which by the way was nearly impossible because it was just one garlicky mess. The mushrooms and spinach were a nice touch, but it would have been nice if I could have tasted the mushroom and spinach instead of just garlic. I ate the whole thing of course because I refuse to allow edible food to be thrown away. In the end I might go back to this restaurant, but probably only to drink their home brewed beer and watch people get tossed off the mechanical bull..
